Away

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

For the 1st time in my life, i went to the very same funeral home twice in the very same week.

2 of my colleagues whom I came to be pretty close with had one of their parents taken away to a better place - In a space of a mere 5 days.

I guess Benjamin Franklin had something pretty bad happen to me which made him say:

“Certainty? In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes.”

I guess it’s something which no one can avoid - Just as there is a finale to a great novel that you hoped would never end, life’s way of telling us that so & so’s fantastic story, has ended.

But what happens, if that story comes to an abrupt ending? Of if the story just drags too long? Does the ending justify the plot twists? Will the protagonist win the battle, or will he lose the war?

Will it be a happy ending? Or a heart wrenching tragedy?

Nothing beats playing at a gig live.

The energy, the adrenaline. It’s fantastic.

The more the audience, the better it is. No inhibitions; just let it all out. ;)

Sometimes, while playing on stage, you notice tons of people right in front of the stage, and it makes you feel like stage diving.

Hmm. But 3 worries usually go through my mind:

1. Will the crowd catch you?
2. Will the crowd catch you?
3. Will the crowd catch you?

And this is a random filler post inspired by real life events.

Can’t live without it, can’t live with it.

Hmm. Maybe not.

Do we slog away now, for the sake of a better future for ourselves, our potential spouses, our next generation in say, 10 years? Then, down the road in 10, 15 years, look back and wonder “Did I do things the right way?”, or “I regret not doing this” or “I’m too old for this”.

Or, do we live for the moment, enjoy life like its meant to be, and not worry too much about the future?

Guess the key is to find the balance, just like everything in life.
