Year

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

2008 has been an exciting, interesting & challenging journey for me personally.

So, in no particular order, here’s what’s happened, what provoked my thoughts, or even what mattered to me in 2008:

1. Witnessed Switchfoot Live
They’ve got to be one of the best live performances I’ve ever watched. Unforgettable.

2. Released a CD
One off The List. A major one I would say.

3. Realised Life is One Big Drama
Emotional roller coaster/Non returning of miss calls & SMSes period. Ok, it wasn’t that bad. But things that happen do make you think long & hard about stuff, especially if it concerns you.

4. Got Chased by the Cops
Recap

5. Started The List
Things to do before I die. Gotta complete it soon!

6. Did the Big Mac Chant
Recap

7. Attended a Great Camp
Jump 1st, fear later. :)

8. Visited Indonesia for Missions, then Holiday
Seriously, Lake Toba is a place worth visiting at least once a lifetime.

9. Acquired Jane
Jane is currently my beloved 6 stringed beauty. She might not be the best sounding, or the best looking, but, she’s still my one and only Jane.

10. Watched 3 Fantastic Movies
Juno

Across the Universe

Once

Alright, is there anymore to this list?

A toast, to 2009. May it be even more unpredictably exciting, as how life is meant to be. ;)

Blessed

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

It’s Christmas. :)

Updates will be few,
but in time they’ll be true.
Gone most of the time I’ll be,
& the blog update’s max will be three.

Poetry at its most creative. ;)

See you when I get back from JB, Singapore, and hopefully Melaka. :)

Is it ok to say that I’m so proud of the juniors I have back in Uni?

Sorry I couldn’t be there, but I’m sure it was ROCKIN’. ;)

Over

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

It’s never too late to start anything - Or so they say.

So before the year 2008 is over, there are just some things I wanna accomplished, to make up for the year that never was.

1. Grow a goatee
2. Go for a LASIK eye test
3. Go red
4. Finish at least 2 more books
5. Complete 2009’s schedules/plans/routines

Hmm. Doesn’t look too tough. I have approximately 20 days to achieve this.

On another note, this video’s not for the faint heart-ed.

For those planning to undergo LASIK surgery, I suggest you don’t watch this - It kinda reminds me of Sylar slicing his victims’ heads.

Heh.

Society

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

It seems like I’m trying my darndest best to NOT do everything society wants me to do.

That’s a good thing, right? Instead of being a slave to the ’system’, & live life like how everything is expected to be lived.

Marbles

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

Now that’s what I call losing your marbles.

Trainspotting

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

Remember this movie?

This was the tagline, also repeated by the main character, Mark Renton:

“Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a starter home. Choose dental insurance, leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose your future. But why would anyone want to do a thing like that?”

Stability? Excitement? Flexibility? Fun? Security? Satisfaction?

Can all these words be put in the same sentence?
